Privacy Policy

We collect account data such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, workspace membership, role, preferences, and support communications.

We process workspace content such as demo titles, step text, screenshots, HTML snapshots, hotspots, blur regions, branding settings, published links, embedded player configuration, leads, and engagement analytics.

The Chrome extension may capture screenshots, page context, click positions, URLs, and related workflow data when you choose to record a demo.

We use data to provide capture, upload, editing, publishing, embedding, analytics, authentication, workspace administration, support, security, abuse prevention, service improvement, and billing-related fulfilment.

We may use aggregated or de-identified data to understand product performance and improve reliability, without identifying a specific customer workspace.

Product Demos processes account, workspace, capture, demo, analytics, support, security, and service-operation data needed to provide and improve the Product Demos service.

Paddle separately processes checkout, buyer, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, invoice, subscription, and refund data for Paddle transactions as reseller and Merchant of Record.

Product Demos receives billing and fulfilment data from Paddle where needed to activate subscriptions, manage plan access, provide support, reconcile payments, and comply with legal obligations.

We process personal data to perform our contract with you, provide the service, secure accounts and workspaces, prevent abuse and fraud, support users, improve reliability, comply with legal obligations, and send service communications.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on consent for certain cookies, marketing, or optional processing, and you may withdraw that consent through the available controls or by contacting support@productdemos.io.

The Product Demos Chrome extension is used to record and publish product demos. It captures the current tab or screen only when you start recording or use an explicit capture action.

Extension data may include screenshots, HTML snapshots, video, URLs, click context, viewport metadata, demo settings, and related workflow metadata needed to create, edit, publish, secure, support, and maintain demos in your workspace.

The extension may store Product Demos session data, access and refresh tokens, current recording state, launcher settings, and retry or upload state locally in chrome.storage.local so it can authenticate API requests, continue a user-started recording, and recover uploads after a network or browser interruption.

Screenshots, HTML snapshots, and video are uploaded to the Product Demos API and your workspace only for creating, editing, publishing, securing, supporting, and maintaining your demos.

We do not sell extension data, do not use it for personalized advertising, and do not transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. Human access is limited to support, security, abuse-prevention, legal-compliance, or user-authorized cases.

Our use of extension data is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Product Demos uses Supabase for authentication, database, and storage services. We may also use hosting, monitoring, analytics, email, support, security, and infrastructure providers to operate the service.

Subprocessors are allowed to process data only as needed to provide their services to Product Demos and are expected to protect that data with appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Product Demos and its providers may process data in countries other than your own, including Kazakhstan and the countries where our infrastructure, Supabase, Paddle, hosting, analytics, support, security, email, and other service providers operate.

Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, contractual protections, and technical and organizational safeguards for international transfers.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Send requests to support@productdemos.io; we respond within the time required by applicable law.

Our website and application may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and product diagnostics.

On public marketing pages, the extension-installed page, and the sign-up form, we use Google Ads and Google Consent Mode to measure advertising performance. Advertising, analytics, user-data, and personalization storage signals default to denied until you accept.

Your Google measurement choice is stored for 180 days in the pd_google_consent_v1 cookie and is shared across productdemos.io subdomains. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings.

Public demo analytics may record views, step progression, completion, drop-off, CTA clicks, approximate technical context, and lead-submission data configured by the workspace owner.

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, support backups, and enforce agreements.

Workspace owners may request deletion or export of eligible workspace data, subject to billing, legal, backup, and security retention requirements.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for access controls in your workspace, strong credentials, and ensuring captured content is appropriate for publication.

Users in the EU/EEA and United Kingdom may have GDPR or UK GDPR rights, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint rights.

Users in the United States, including California, may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of personal information where applicable law grants those rights. Product Demos does not sell personal information as that term is commonly used in state privacy laws.

Users in Canada, Brazil, India, Australia, China, and other Asia-Pacific or global regions may have additional rights under local privacy laws, including access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, complaint, and transparency rights where those laws apply.

Product Demos has not appointed a separate data protection officer, EU representative, UK representative, or local privacy representative unless we state otherwise in this Policy. Privacy requests should be sent to support@productdemos.io.

The English version of these legal documents is the primary version for Product Demos. Translations are provided for convenience and should be interpreted consistently with the English version, except where mandatory consumer law gives you stronger local rights.
